PERSONALITY DISORDERS

Psychotherapy is provided as a primary form of treatment for personality disorders, which are characterized by maladaptive patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour that persist over time. Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) is used in treating borderline personality disorder, focusing on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) targets problematic thinking patterns in disorders such as narcissistic or obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious conflicts and longstanding patterns in disorders like avoidant or dependent personality disorder.

SUPERVISION

I have extended my reach by providing clinical supervision to other psychologists, a role that underscores my contributions to the profession's growth and quality. In this capacity, I engage in a collaborative process that fosters reflective practice, encourages professional development, and enhances clinical skills among emerging practitioners. My supervision style promotes an environment where supervisees can explore their therapeutic relationships, confront their biases, and refine their approach to therapy.
